About

Telepsychiatry

At this time, my practice is strictly done through telepsychiatry. This means that all appointments will be held via secure, HIPAA-compliant video conferencing software, easily accessible through your patient chart. There is not currently an option for in-person visits.

Telepsychiatry is preferred by many patients as it allows them to attend appointments from the comfort of their own home or office. This cuts down on lengthy commutes and the need to take time off work. It also allows access to psychiatric care for patients living in more remote locations.

Given people's often hectic work lives, I offer appointments on evenings (after 5pm MST) and weekends at a higher fee. Due to limited availability, evening or weekend requests cannot be guaranteed and must be discussed with me prior to scheduling.

Prescriptions can be sent to a local pharmacy of your choosing. Lab orders can be sent to a lab near you.

Your initial psychiatric evaluation will be a 90 minute appointment to gain a comprehensive understanding of you, your mental health symptoms, and your mental health needs. During this visit we will discuss diagnostic considerations, medication and/or therapy options, goals and treatment planning. This appointment will also be used to determine if we are a good fit or if you might be better served by alternative services.

I offer medication management services for most psychiatric conditions that are responsive to pharmacologic treatment. This includes, but is not limited to, the treatment of depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, schizophrenia, PTSD, insomnia and substance use disorders.

Therapy can be useful for a multitude of different purposes including gaining a deeper understanding of one's self, working on coping mechanisms, processing difficult or traumatic events, managing stress, navigating difficult relationships, exploring meaning and purpose in life, discussing existential concerns, and dealing with grief.
